How to Grow Tomatoes

Grow Tomatoes for fun or profit. It’s easy and can be done successfully by the beginner gardener. One thing I know about growing tomatoes is they love full sun. Another thing tomatoes love is water. A good dose of 10-10-10 will get your tomatoes off to a great start. After they start growing well I use only organic fertilizers to finish out the plants so the taste of the fruit is not affected by the artificial fertilizers. I usually start my tomatoes from seed. Usually the seed from the years before. Tomato seeds have a long shelf life. I have planted tomato seeds that were over 20 years old and they grew well. They aren’t all still viable, but some of them were and still grew nice plants producing lots of tomatoes. Make money gardening when you grow tomatoes, just by selling the starter plants and the tomatoes that your plants grow. It’s fun and easy and you can do it, too. Tomato plants are easy to sell when you grow them organically. For More Information check out growing tomatoes doubling your harvest.

Raised Bed Gardening

Raised Bed Gardening

Raised Bed Gardening

Raised bed gardening is great for your plants because the soil drains quickly. And they make it easier to keep out weeds. You control what soil goes into your raised beds. Also if you get heavy rain your plants won’t be sitting in a puddle of water. This may also help keep contaminates out of your garden. Plus raised bed gardens can grow lots of vegetables in a small garden area. If designed correctly you can get a lot of use out of a very small space. What I do is use raised garden beds in my greenhouse. Where I can run string from floor to ceiling and use them to grow the plants upward which saves me tons of space to Make Money Gardening and grow other vegetables. I really like this method and use it often. I also grow cucumbers in the greenhouse using the same method and it works great. Cucumbers love to climb and once they get going they can grow all the way across the greenhouse. Update 1/25/2015 I’ve got some of the beds ready to go for this year. I plan on building about 6 more beds to put this into full production mode. I want to grow and sell 20,000 plants this year. I really believe I can do it. Every year I sell out completely. I’m gonna try my best and that is all. If I don’t sell them all I can at least plant them outdoors. Greenhouse gardening is so much fun because you can control how the plants grow and keep them from being eaten by animals. Outdoors the plants are subject to the weather and sometimes that’s not good. And with the raised beds the ground drains good even when it floods inside the greenhouse.
